Vineyard

Grape collection

The 120 acre vineyard consists of four key Hunter varietals - Verdelho, Semillon, Chardonnay and Shiraz. The Milbrovale vineyard is considered by many to be the 'viticultural show piece' of the Hunter Valley.

Vineyard

From the outset, the vineyard has been established using the best viticultural technology and techniques with computerised irrigation, fertilisation and integrated minimal pest management systems being pivotal to the operation of the vineyards.

Vineyard from the air

The location and micro-climate at Broke-Fordwich of the Milbrovale vineyard produces the best fruit that the Hunter Valley has to offer, with more rain at night at the right times of the year, less humidity and north west prevailing winds.

The vines are managed to restrict fruit yields, thus concentrating the resulting flavours. This approach has paid off with recent regional and national and international wine show medal successes.
