This unique liqueur wine is very delicate, being only lightly fortified, while possessing a subtle stonefruit perfume and a smooth balanced texture. A short maturation time barrels has added a slightly nutty character, but the freshness of the liqueur dominates and ensures pleasurable drinking. Enjoy lightly chilled with your favourite cheese or dessert.
The wine was produced from Chardonnay grown in Mudgee, NSW. At the winery, the grapes were lightly pressed with the juice being separated and naturally clarified, before fermenting cold to near dryness in a stainless steel tank. After fermentation, the wine was clarified and sweetened with a liqueur base, before final filtration and ultimately being bottled.
