Oakvale has a proud history of producing premium quality wines. Oakvale Wines is one of the oldest working wineries in Australia.
Established in 1893, and it stands proudly alongside many other famous Hunter Valley icon wineries.
The Owens family has been conducting business in the Hunter Valley for the past four generations. Oakvale Wines was acquired by Richard Owens in 1999.
Since purchasing Oakvale, Richard has upgraded the Winery, re-developed the Cellar Door, added a coffee shop, an Old Shop Museum, located in the original 1893 slab cottage and a children's playground.
Two houses on the winery property have been completely renovated to offer luxury 4 Star Country Style Accommodation.
The 135 acre Oakvale site is nestled under the Hunter Valley's famous Brokenback Range, located on Broke Road near the junction of Hermatige Road.
